Accessory Stickers
Can someone explain to me the basics of digital scrapbooking?
I’ve never seen it done, and I don’t really get the concept at all.
Do you print out the pages after designing it on the computer?Do you need a special printer? Are there any sites online that offer it for free or do you always have to buy a kit?Do you add accessories (stickers, brads, etc.) after printing it?I am clueless, so just basic info would be appreciated.
I highly recommend visiting this site: http://spraguelab.squarespace.com/

Jessica Sprague is the guru of all things in digital scraping. I also recommend getting her book “Computer Tricks for Scrapbookers” to get a handle on the different ways to use Photoshop.
As for your other questions:
yes, you can print out the pages after you have created them. It is recommended that you have a photo quality printer. If you are scrapping 12×12 pages, then you will need to get a large size printer that can print that size (Epson makes a great one). Or you can upload your page to a photo processing site (I use Costco) and have them printed just like a large photo.
There are many sites to download free kits:
www.twopeasinabucket.com
www.digitaldesigns.com
are two of my favorites.
I am a “hybrid” scrapper. That means that I make some of my page using the digital kits/Photoshop method and then add “real” embellishments like chipboard, ribbon, etc. once I have my page printed out. I like the dimensional aspect of adding my embellishments- and since I shop so much, I kind of have to use them =).
Again, I really recommend looking up Jessica Sprague’s sites to get a better idea. She is totally awesome and answered all questions I ever had and some I hadn’t even thought of. She also offers an “Up and Running with Photoshop” class online that guides students through the basics of creating a page. Hope this helps.
